UWorld is the reference point everyone else in this category gets compared against, and it earns that. The bank runs to 3,400+ NCLEX-RN questions including 750+ Next Gen items, and adaptive practice tests are included on every plan.
What actually separates it is the explanations. Most question banks tell you which answer was right and give you a paragraph on why. UWorld writes the rationale as a piece of teaching: why the right answer is right, why each wrong answer is tempting and what misunderstanding it implies, usually with a table or an illustration. You can learn content from it, not just test yourself on content you already have. If you are the sort of person who reads the explanation even when you got the question right, this is the product built for you.
The cost is the honest objection. $139 buys 30 days and $229 buys 90, which is where most people land, and the six self-assessment exams are sold separately at $25 each or $100 for the set. Budget the real number rather than the headline. There is a 7-day free trial and after that nothing is free.
The interface is also showing its age next to newer apps, and the mobile experience is a competent port of a desktop product rather than something designed for a phone. Neither matters much if you are sitting down to study properly. Both matter if your study time is fifteen minutes on a bus.
